Black Ink, founded in 1969, is the official publication of the
Black Student Movement at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill. Our mission remains: “If Blackness can be
transformed into pictures and words, we intend to do so, by
any means necessary.” All signed articles, letters, editorials,
illustrations and poetry are welcome, although subject to
