Response to March article, "From Taboo to
Trend: Interracial Dating"
This was a very well written and interesting article
that touched on a very sensitive subject in a very
objective way. Many more young people need to step
up to challenge the people of today to question their
beliefs and morals. I believe these two powerful writ
ers deserve some kind of award of at least some seri
ous recognition.

Response to March article, "Ten Things I
don't Understand About Guys at Carolina"
I think that it's quite impossible for me to break it
down any better than you did. I’ve been on this cam
pus for three years and for those slow three years, I
wondered the same thing about Carolina guys. And
since I have been here, not ONE has made an effort to
approach me about a date or anything close to it. Over
and over again, 1 have heard the same excuses. Thank
you for including it in your list. I've been called
"wifey" so many times until no guy wants to date me.
They all admit that they are interested, but they can
only marry someone like me. So I guess they are
telling me that if 1 turn into a tramp or skank tomor
row, THEN they would consider me. I'm sorry, but no
man on this campus is worth me stressing myself
over.

Response to "I Hate You So Much Right
Now: Construction Woes"
Hello fellow Tar Heels. That is right! I am now a Tar
Heel. They have my money and now I belong to them
: ) Moving along. . . I was searching for information
about student activities and I came across this page. I
must admit that it is wonderful (five stars)! This
particular article struck a chord with me. In the fall of
2001 I will be a freshman at UNC. It is inevitable that
all freshmen stay on South Campus. Here I read about
the troubles down there. =( So here I am asking for
your honesty and support. Which is the best dorm for
a young lady to stay in, in general? I am in the process
of filling out my housing application and I have no
idea what dorm to put down.=(

Response to March article, "Everybody
Clap Your Hands!"
This article to me is a shot to the heart. I am person
ally a rather huge fan of the "Cha Cha Slide" and
when I hear people disrespecting it, it truly hurts my
heart. Alexis, along with others I have encountered,
are afraid of change. She makes it seem as if change is
wrong. I happen to like adding a lil' spice to whatev
er I do and with the "Cha Cha Slid," that is accom
plished. It s something new every time, which is
good! Change is good!!! It's cool the reminisce on the
old every once in a while, but change must come
sometime.

Response to March article, "Why Do We
Need a Black Press?"
I really wish that humans, both black and white, or
w atever color, could begin to see people as people,
not colors.
