Page Two Ibe Gasligbt Student Newqaaper Gaston College Sad is the passing of one whose life and energy we have known and loved.... Joyce Fowler was special. She was a gift of God to a sometimes hectic world that she could calm with just a small comment. She was a gift to all those students to whom she taught skills and a positive outlook on life. She was a gift to all of her colleagues who could depend on her to carry her share of the work and be a joy to be around when the work got really tough and long. You can’t forget a special person like Joyce. You CM’t forget a person who had so many qualities you want to replicate. She was so level-headed, so gracious, so polite, so organized and she could lighten a situation with her delightful sense of humor and make an uncomfortable moment suddenly comfortable. We wiU all miss Joyce, she had the type of personality that will live within all of us who knew her. And we thank God, first for letting Joyce share a part of her life with us, and l^tly for the knowledge that He will now give her some of the calm, peace, and happiness that she gave to all of us.
