THE SOUND OF NOISE
The Joyful Noise, G-W’s touring folk group,
returned days early this semester with a two
fold purpose: to plan trips and to cut a re
cord.
The Joyful Noise has long been “booked
up” for the semester. These engagements
vrill take the group to Mississippi College,
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary,
and Birmingham, Alabama, as well as to lo
cal churches and civic clubs.
On January 15, the singers traveled to Green
ville, S. C., for an eight hour recording ses
sion at Mark V studios to produce a long-
playing stereo album which is expected to
arrive the first week of March. The Album
will be a collection of contemporary songs
as well as religious folk music with origi
nal compositions in both fields. These re
cords will be sold at four dollars per album.
Members of the Joyful Noise include Dan
Snyder, Carol Neese. Jerry Simpson, Bill Har-
till, Tamara Lane, Patsy Humphries, Dawn
Spainhour, Lawton Neely, and Reg Alexander.

the history books but she was a
