Chinese Democracy is set to ibe released this year by the co|i^tol^ restructured band. The only original member is l^d singer Axl Rose. Until tfe new CD is released, fans can get their hands on Guns ‘N’ Rog^s: Live Era ’87- ’93, a n^iw live album with songs reoorded all over the world. Among twenty-two songs on the two-CP set are legendary fav^tjtes “Wel come to th^ Jungle”, “Paradise City^ and “Sweet Chitij O’ Mine” from AppeU^e for De struction, mi a few songs from J99rs Use Your Illu)tion I and II most ifc^bly “You Could Be and “November Main.” ^ There ap$,. sixteen other songs 4very bit as good as more popular On the first CD Train” and “Mr. %ownstone” get th^ collection started. Student Voicg UNCW students take their entertainment seriously, including what their options are in terms of music. Freshman Jon Foster gives his opinion on the Wilmington scene. “It’s kinda sketchy for punk-oriented music. All shows you have to be 18 and over. It’s not good. If you can’t have the kids go, what’s the point? It should be all ages, 5 bucks at the door. Some of my friends from Winston-Salem played at Culture Shock. The turn out was not big, not even for local Wilmingtor^bands. There’s no base. If someone would start a club where everyone can play, all ages/all genres, that would get people inter ested,” said Foster.
