page 6 Stiff New Penalties Proposed for Honor Code Violations THE GLANCE Potholes Filled Witii High Tech Parking Spaces A new proposal which would strengthen the penalty for honor code This is an eX’ ample of what dishonest stu- dents have to look forward to if "Honesty surpasses SGA violations has been proposed by the Stu dent Association. The controversial punishment for lying involves the surgical elongating of the offender's probosus. Many students are outraged at the new proposal. "It's unconstitutional," one student complained. "It has to be. You can't just go around messing with people’s faces. We just don't want the school nosing around our business any more than they do already." While many students took this proposal as a joke it looks as though it will pass the Student Association and be signed into law by newly elected Student Asso ciation President, Pinnochio Jones. "It's a good law," Jones said. "Besides, I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's not like they are doing some thing that might make someone look bad." This form of deterrence has been labled by some administrators as "a bit harsh," but, so far, no campus groups have come forward to openly protest the pro posal. The biggest complaint, according to one administrator, has come from the Maintanence department. "They said we might have to widen some doorways and raise some ceilings," The administrator said.
