Studying
Why study? Do w’e study to learn
or do we learn from study? Do we
just sit down and study because otu'
instrttctors say that we will have class
tomorrow with books closed? Unfor
tunately, the answer to the latter cjues-
tion, nine times otu of ten, is yes. On
other college campuses, as w'ell as on
otU' own, students study for that rea
son. Shall we not put forth an effort
to do reaf studying not for the mere
reason that our instructors advise it,
but study because we want to gain in
formation, explore the fields of knowl
edge and acquire zest in learning?
What do you say?

School Spirit
Real Schools aren’t made by students
Lest somebody else gets ahead.
When ei’eryone works and nobody shirks
You can raise a school from the dead.
And if ivhile you earn the honors you crave
Your neighbor max earn some, too.
Your sc/wol will be what you ivant it to be
It isn’t your school, it’s yon.

ctUTed in July, August, and Septem
ber.
Many things characterized the suc
cess of the occasion including decora
tions which were in harmony with the
season of the year, the appetizing
menu, and an appropriate prograui
given by the senior class. In the cen
ter of each table was placed a tray ar
tistically made of construction paper
filled with painted pine burrs at
tached to sprigs of sih.er painted cedar,
