Kellogg, whose home town in Portsmouth, Virginia, is a star basketteer for Manhattan College in New York. Because Kellogg is one of the best players that Manliattan has, he was offered $1,000 to “throw” a game against Depaul University on January 15th. This he refused to do and reported the incident to his coach, who turned the matter over to the police. Kellogg satisfied himself for his action, because on the night be fore the “fixed” game, he could not sleep. The $1,000 offer was before him, but he thought of his school, his hardworking teammates, and his coach—inclusive honesty. What would you have done? Gamblers have been apprehended and arrested for offering Kellogg this monev. This great sportsman deserves all of the honors that athletes have to offer. Praise him! Praise him!
