Nights

The nights grow sooner and Unger long
a different tune from summer’s song
No humid days and water fights
but gentle breezes and colorful sights
The threes are no longer green all over
but some are bare with nothing to cover
the leaves have fallen to the earth
a season of gloominess and lack of birth
The beautiful arrays of orange, yellow and
red give back to life those tree which are dead
The nighttime air is calm and steady
perfect for an evening stroll whenever ready
The moon changes phases from full to
crescent, a beautiful display of Divine Illuminescence
Autumn is a lovely name altogether,
no matter where you go, how far, whatever
I always anticipate this season of Harvest
and Dreams, this season of Thanksgiving and of Halloween
Autumn nights, sweet Autumn nights
my favorite time of year
no other season or night to add, can ever be this dear
The nights grow sooner and linger long,
a different tune from summer’s song
Though Autumn days grow short and cold
This special season I would “Crown With Gold”
