Pep Qub Formed At WSSU
A new club has been
established here at Winston-
Salem State University. This new
organization is the W.S.S.U. Pep
Club. Although only a few people
came to the first meeting, a good
number of Rams did show
interest at the second meeting
which was held on October 9,1974
in the gym.
Officers were elected for the
Pep Club at this meeting. They
are; President, Sheryl Evans;
Vice President, Michele
Johnson; Director, Sammy
Bowman; Secretary, Halima
Rahiman; Treasurer, Robin
Blanton, and Sergeant of Arms,
Reginald Gomillion.
Also during this meeting, the
cheerleaders taught their chants
to the club members. The Pep
Club caught on fast and really
showed some spirit! . The
purpose of the club is to promote
more school spirit during games
to show Ram appreciation for the
team. It will also aid the
cheerleaders in cheering so that
more students will join in and
cheer, too.
Any student interested in
joining the club can get in touch
with any of the officers or
members of the Pep Club. In
order to make the club a success
join now and give your
“spiritual” support to the Rams!
