Transit Authority Offers Alternative
''Bus Convenient and Economical”
Are you tired of driving ’round
trying to find a parking space on
campus? Is the cost of operating
your car breaking your budget?
The Winston-Salem Transit
Authority has some good news for
you! Beginning October 1st, you
can purchase a monthly pass or a
ten-ride ticket on campus at the
book store.
The monthly pass costs $18.00
and can be used any time on any
regularly scheduled route during
the month for which it is purchas
ed. A monthly pass should be
bought as near the first of the
month as possible for maximum
benefit.
The ten-ride ticket is $4.75. It
can also be used at any time on
any regularly scheduled route.
The rides are limited, however,
to ten (10) per ticket. It can be
purchased any time during the

Searching For 10
Winston Salem State University students are invited to participate in GLAMOUR
Magazine’s 1984 Top Ten College Women Competition. Young women from colleges
and universities throughout the country will compete in GLAMOUR’S search for ten
outstanding students. A panel of GLAMOUR editors will select the wmners on the
basis of their soHd records of achievement in academic studies and/or in extracur-
ricular activites on campus or in the community.
The 1984 Top Ten College Women will be feature in GLAMOUR s August Collge
Issue. During May, June or July, the ten winners will receive an all-expe^es-paid
trip to New York City and will participate in meetings with professionals in their area

campus. Route No. 3, Happy Hill
Gardens and Route No. 26, Morn-
ingside Manor/Easton stop on
Claremont Avenue and Cromar-
tie—inbound and outbound. The
No. 3 Route comes by every 20
minutes. The No. 26 comes by
every hour. Both routes ter
minate downtown at the old Cour
thouse square where other buses
may be boarded going to shopp
ing centers, movies, restaurants,
parks, recreation centers,
medical centers and many other
places in and around Winston-

Rack. The rack contains informa
tion on all 19 of our regularly
scheduled routes. If you have
