legiate Athletic Conference and the Southwest
ern Athletic Conference.
The new program will air over ESPN, the
nation's largest cable network, on Wednesdays at
2:30 pm EST starting September 13, 1989 and
will continue weekly through the completion of
each conference’s 1989-90 basketball season.
According to conference commissioners,
ESPN's presentation of BLACK COLLEGE
SPORTS TODAY will be the greatest weekly
television exposure ever for black college
sports. ESPN reaches over 56% of all U.S.

New Resume,
Writing Service
Ellen L. White, former marketing director
of the Blunkenthal Jewish Home, Qemmons, has
been appointed manager of Creative Resume &
Writing Service (CRWS) in Winston-Salem
The service, headquartered in Charlotte,
opened an office in Winston-Salem this past sum
mer. The office is located in the Strattford Oaks
Building, 514 S. Strattford Road.
The service is open to the public Monday
through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., other
times by appointment

na is accepting applications for the
1990 Summer Internship Program.
Internships will be available for four
reporters, one photographer and one
advertising salesperson.
The program is designed for stu
dents with good academic records who
have demonstrated serious intentions to
pursue careers in newspaper journalism.
Rising seniors are generally preferred,
but others will be considered, as long as
they will be returning to school in the
fall. Selections are based on considera
tion of grades, interest in newspapers as
a career, evidence of writing or editing
ability demonstrated through class exer
cises, experience on college or other
publications, personal interviews, and
references.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE
RECEIVED BETWEEN OCTOBER 1
and DECEMBER 31, 1989. Editors
and managers will armounce their selec
tions in late January 1990.
