Jeff Howie, president of the Alumni Association, returned a
momento he collected while a student at Chowan in the 1950s.
The directional road sign had been “kept in a safe place”
since the ’50s, Howie said, and suggested that it now be
placed in the Antiquities Room of Whitaker Library.
Students, alumni and other friends of the college enjoyed the musical §a Ul e
groups providing entertainment at the Susan P. Kerr Alumni Gazebo
during the morning and after the football game.
The Chowanian
Society posed for a
group photograph in
the President’s Dining
Room after a period of
fellowship to renew
acquaintances prior to
the annual alumni
luncheon. Members of
the society attended
Chowan more than 40
years ago, and each
member enjoyed
telling of the “old
days” at their alma
mater during their
reunion during
Homecoming
weekend.
