Alumni News Keeping up with 0^ Classof Raymond Eugene Adkins, of Glen Allen, V A, is a senior programmer and analyst for Virginia Power Company. He and his wife are the parents of a son and a daughter. After graduating from Chowan, Carol Malloy received degrees from the University of Tampa and the University of South Florida. The mother of three children, she is currently residing in Rich mond Hill, New York and is a recreation specialist with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. Alexander Mutter is a senior designer of elecuic signs for the Artlite Sign Co., of Chesapeake, VA. After graduating from Chowan, he received a B.A. degree from Old Dominion University and served in the Navy for four years. Jean Carole Bass Rawls is currently residing in Chesapeake, VA, and is the mother of two children. Parker M. Baine, Jr., is a biology teacher with the Virginia Beach School System. After graduat ing from Chowan, he received degrees from Virginia Wesleyan College and Old Dominion University. He is married and has one son. Brenda Wilson Adkins is an organizational and human resource development manager for the Virginia Depanment of Rehabilitative Counseling. She is residing in Glen Allen, VA, and is the mother of two children. Betsy Craig, right, and her father, W. E. A safety officer with the Department of Correction, Armid “Eddie" Allen, III, attended UNC-CH and ECU after graduating from Chowan. He is the father of two sons and is active in Little League basketball and baseball in Farmville, where he currently resides. Kathy B. Allen is a third grade teacher at Cliffdale Elementary School in Fayetteville. After graduating from Chowan, George “Tommy" Brooks received his degree from N. C. State University and is currently an agricultural agent with the N. C. Cooperative Extension Service. Beverly Jean Watson Carroll is director of exceptional children with the Wayne County Public Schools in Goldsboro. Clyde Wesley Copeland, Jr., is residing in Scotland Neck, where he is owner and operator of Copeland Farms. Margaret Shores Farley is a teacher and chairman of the English department in the Abbeville County Public Schools in Due West, SC. The mother of two sons, she is an ordained deacon in her church. Shirley Elizabeth Barnes Harrell is a medical records manager with the Roanoke-Chowan Human Services Center and resides in Mur freesboro. A confroller with Mayo Knitting Mill, Inc., Daniel Wayne Howell currently resides in Rocky Mount. Herman G. A. Wayne Myrick lives in Virginia Beach, VA, where he is vice president of The Hipaye Co., Inc. A second grade teacher at St. Christopher’s Lower School, Linda Talley Peace is the mother of two children and resides in Richmond, VA, Robert Perry is owner of Perry Credit Agency in Durham. Jean Roberts is associated with Asheboro City Schools and is the mother of two children who are now attending college; Betty Gibbs Riddle is owner and operator of Business Boutique in Dunn. The mother of three children, she is active in the Dunn Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Board of Visitors of Central Carolina Community College. Cecil Thomas Lynch, Jr., is owner of Lynch’s Office Supply Co., Roanoke Rapids. He has three sons and is a past president of the Friends of Roanoke Rapids Library. Carlton Pressley Brinkley is a teacher in the Buena Vista (VA) City Public Schools. H. Wayne Roberts is vice president of Pioneer Balloon in Wichita, Kansas. He saved two terms as major of Clarksville, VA, prior to moving to Kansas. William F. Schwartz lives in Ashland, VA, and is currently completing work for the MBA at the University of Richmond. He is vice president for adminisfration of Atlantic Rural Exposition, Inc. Lynn Shockley Sturgis, now residing in Snow Hill, MD, is a school nurse with Pocomoke ‘elementary and high schools. She is married and has two children, who are both enrolled in college. Leonard W. Taylor is president and owner of Taylor Appraisal Co., in Winston-Salem. He has two daughters and is active in local charity events. James A. Tucker is residing in Valdosa, GA, and is a manger with Champion International Corp. Johnny M. Turner lives in Apex where he is a systems analyst with the State of North Carolina. Mary Ferguson Wagner is a teacher at Battle field Elementary School and resides in Mechanicsville, VA. Robert Grady Waters, Jr., is an accounting manager for Southern States Cooperative in Glen Allen, VA. Janet Kay Morris Yearwood is the mother of three children and currently resides in Raleigh.
