This year’s program came of age as five seniors, Sean McClafierty,
Aaron Fenn, Randy Smale. Ricardo Arias and Louis Amigo displayed
their leadership and guidance to their younger teammates. Fenn. Smale
and McClafTerty etched their names in the record book by becoming the
first student-athletes to play all four years in the famed “Blue and
White.” The combination of senior leadership and a solid class of
recruits completed the turn around as the Braves improved from one
victory just a season ago. to this year's record-setting 12 wins. Another
key to their outstanding season was the play of junior goal keeper Chris
Swanner. In only his first season, Swanner turned away 205 shots
while allowing only 24 goals for an outstanding 1.3 goals per game.
With a solid foundation. Lindsay will return a sound nucleus of
players to join a group of eager recruits looking to build upon the
success set by this season’s record-setting men’s soccer program.
