The Chovi^an College Alumni Services Office and Department of Student Life
are attempting to establish a Job Selection/Search and Relocation Network
ing Data Base. We are looking for parents and alumni who would be will
ing to talk to students and alumni about their field of work, general employ
ment opportunities in their geographic area, vocational field, or firm; and
general geographic relocation information, i.e., housing, schools, businesses,
entertainment opportunities, cost of living, medical facilities, youth activities,
churches, social environment, availability of retail goods and services, local
points of interest, etc. The intent is to provide an information resource that
will assist seniors and new graduates in making the transition from school
to work or to assist alumni who are changing careers or relocating to a new
area.
Your participation in the network will not require a large commitment of
time. You determine how many calls you will receive. It is the student's or
alum's responsibility to initiate contact. Regardless of the number of calls you
accept, your experience and insights will provide an invaluable contribution
to Chowan College, our students and alumni. You may call or send us a post
card at any time to be removed from the list of network volunteers.
If you would be willing to share your knowledge and to have your name
and a little personal information released to students and alumni who may
be interested in the information you have to share, please fill out the form
below and return it to our Alumni Services Office. Thanks in advance for
your cooperation.
