MURFREESBORO — Fall
homecoming will be Oct. 16.
The Homecoming '93 Commit
tee has planned a weekend filled
with pep rallies, bonfires and re
unions.
This year will bring back an
exciting rival as the Chowan
Braves meet Ferrum College of
Virginia. Joining the ranks of
NCAA Division III offers
Chowan the opportunity to face
many new opponents in the falL
The afternoon game will be
preceded by a parade through the
streets of Mui^eesboro and the
college campus. The Chowan
clubs and organizations are meet
ing to plan their floats and ex
hibits for the parade.
The events of the weekend will
be topped off with the classes of
1953, 1968 and 1983 celebrating
their 40th, 25th and 10th re
unions, respectively. The com
mittees for these classes are being
formed and will begin planning
their reunions soon. If you are a
member of one of these classes
and are interested in helping with
your reunion, please contact the
Chowan College Alumni Office.
Already it looks to be a busy
and fun-filled weekend for
alumni, parents, students and
Chowan family and friends.

Tyson directs
special programs,
student services
MURFREESBORO — An-
twyne Tyson has been named di
rector of special programs and
interim director of student activi
ties. In his third year at Chowan,
Tyson has been assistant resident
director of Dunn Hall and a su
pervisor in the Braves Den.
Originally from Ahoskie,
Tyson has lived and attended
schools in Pennsylvania.
As director of special pro
grams, he will be the staff liaison
between the college and special
groups coming on campus. He
will recruit groups and facilitate
their needs while on campus.
