Bailey's “eye”
comments on the
tension between
machine and Nature,
pushing the body to
its limits, and the
fascination of
molding something
from nothing.
Flair For Honesty
Marks Bailey’s Photos
Caron Bailey, freshman plioto major, takes
the time to get to know her subjects, finding
that this breaks down barriers the camera
sometimes creates.
The Delaware native has earned academic
honors during her brief Chowan career.
Caron will serve as a commencement marshal
at next month’s graduation, and is slated to
receive the Eva Ethridge Scholarship during
her sophomore year.
Commercial Work Is
Soph’s Career Goal
Jay Wasowski, New Jersey native and
candidate for graduation in May, will move
on to Ohio University, destination of many
Chowan photo grads.
At Ohio U., Jay plans to pursue a photo
major in the school’s Visual Communications
program. Commercial or advertising
photography is Jay’s career choice. He says he
enjoys the control possible in studio set
design, lighting and shooting.
Wasowskfs camera

the ordinary,
thoughtful interlude
in time, nostalgic
small-toiun meeting
place.
