“THE SCARF” and “GIANNI
•SCHICCHI’’-performances Thursday,

with an open dress on Wednesday, April
16, in the de Mille Theater.
“The Scarf”, composed by Lee Hoiby
in 1958, stage direction by Matilda
Nickle, with set desigri by Deb Hale,
costumes by Michael Foxworthy, and
lights by Michael Wagoner, is based on
the story by Chekov. It is “...very
exciting, dramatic modem theatre,”
according to Adrian Durlester, stage
manager for both operas.
“Gianni Schicchi”, by Giacomo
Pucinni, stage direction by William
Beck, set design by John McKemon,
costumes by Roland Guidry, and lights
again by Mr. Wagoner, is a comedy set in
Florence during the ^naisance.
The NCSA Orchestra will be led by the
masterful baton of Norman Johnson.
Tickets for the one-act operas are
available in room 308 of the main
administration building.
