KENICHI YOKOTA Staff Writer With spring breatc coming in the next four weeks, many Methodist stu dents plan to go to the Bahamas, Florida, Mrytle Beach, and even Las Vegas. What many college students imagine spring break to be from MTV is partying, tanning on white sand beaches, and swimming in the clear blue ocean. This is no different for MC students this spring break as the most popular destination is the beach. Some seniors will go abroad for their last official spring break. Senior Danielle Smith and senior Stefanie Wargala found the cruise to the Bahamas on the Internet. “We are going to have fun in the sun, spending five days in the Bahamas and two days in Miami,” Danielle said. The Methodist College Out door Adventure Program will also offer a trip to the Bahamas. They will stay in the Bahamas for five days, and will also be in Orlando, Fla., for two days before coming back to campus. It costs only $100, including one meal a day, all transportation, all accomodation, and some activities such as snor- kellng. Mike Sinkovitz, Director of Intramural Recreation said, “We usually camp, but this time we will rent a house in the Bahamas.” There is only room for 16 people because two vans will be used to drive to Florida. Those who are interested in the trip may stop by Sinkovitz's office in Berns Student Center. Following the Bahamas, Florida is the next destination that some students are choosing for spring break. Many say that they will spend time on the beach and party with friends. Interestingly, very few stu dents are going to Myrtle Beach, S.C., even though it is the closest beach to Fayetteville. Sophomore David Garcia is an exception and doesn’t plan to go far for his break. “I love the water and the beach scene,” he said. “So I al ways find myself down in Mrytle Beach, hanging out with my old friends."And last, some students are going to stay home and work during spring break. Folks, it’s spring break'. \ Many students search for travel plans on the Internet to find the best travel deals. Some spring break websites good for planning with reasonable prices include www.springbreaktravel.com. www.ststravel.com. and www.springbreaksolution.com. There is still time for those who don’t have a plan yet. Find the best deal and have fun.
