New Miss Homecoming 1988

studying accomiting/management
By Bertie Ray, III
In the heat of competition, Felicia
Richardson was able to maintain her
composure and grace, and offered some
words of wisdom to her competitors.
“Those of us who are participating and
may not win, don’t look upon this as a
failure.” From this response to her
challenging question, a victory in her
favor was evident.
Miss Homecoming 1988 is a junior ac
counting/management major from
Florence, S.C. She is the youngest of
eight sisters and she enjoys performing
and spending time with friends. She con
fesses that she believed whole-heartedly
that a fellow contestant had the pageant
wrapped-up, but she expresses joy and
adulation with her victory.
Felicia denies being a beauty queen,
but from the applauses, hugs and kisses
from the large crowd, she is in fact a win
ner and a beauty queen.
She sees her victory as a step toward
future success and plans to make her
reign active and enjoyable.
Realizing that Miss Homecoming is a
representative and a leader, Felicia feels
that the honor of being Miss Homecom
ing should be treated with respect and
even admiration. She hopes that future
pageants are held on the first day of
Homecoming Week so that Miss
Homecoming can enjoy all of the joys
and responsibilities to the fullest - that in
cludes being present at all official
Homecoming events.
Miss Homecoming 1988 is charming,
articulate and witty. She carries an aura
of grace and her laudable personality is
radiant.
