After her long haul from Seattle, Wash., she settled here to provide her helpful assis tance concerning improvements for the student life of residents at South Hall. Stacie’s past, as well as work history, has not always been as sociated with campus residential affiliation. She worked as an RA while completing her B.A. in po litical science at the University of Washington, but after graduation found herself in a marketing as sistant position at Reed McClure Law Firm in Seattle. It took only a short while to experience what it was like to be away from her previous surroundings, and make the desicion to retum to what she was most famililar with. So Stacie attended Seattle Uni versity to obtain a Master in Edu cation degree in Student Devel opment Theory. During that time she enjoyed working with the registrar’s office as well as work concerning residential life. Quite excited to have an op portunity to be back in the social aura of campus life after graduat ing from Seattle University, Stacie gladly took an interview with Wesleyan’s Student Life Depart ment. Hurricane Fran couldn’t even prevent her from attending. She was committed to the idea of the transition when she gave up her two adorable cats and poodle to travel over 3,0(X) miles with husband Chris. She fought the winds of Fran on her flight from Charlotte to Rocky Mount to be ready for the date of her interview. Stacie willingly admits to her preference to work with students instead of the marketing business. Even after a promotion to a man ager position, after her first job in the field, she still had rather be with the fun and communion-type services of college campus life. Even though this is her first year at Wesleyan, Stacey is eager to learn more so that her abilities will contribute most effectively to the betterment of activities and services available, including those which aid in the retention of the freshman classes to graduate from (Continued on Back Page) STACIE HANSON
