ELIZABETH EDMISTON As I am sure many of you know, the College has been un dergoing a self-study during the past year as part of the reaccredi tation process with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This process culminates with the arrival of the visiting team on Feb. 28, 2000. The first draft of the Self-Study Report has been written and we would like to re ceive feedback from the Wesleyan community. The report is located at: http:// faculty.ncwc.edu/edmiston/ SelfStudy.Report/Default.htm Printed copies will also be avail able in the library. This is a long document (225 pages) so you might want to refrain from print ing the entire document yourself. People can respond to the Self- Study Report via the web page or via email. In addition, there will be a series of meetings over the next few weeks arranged at dif ferent times so that hopefully ev eryone will be able to fit one into their schedules. The schedule for those meetings will be announced soon. A second draft will be pro duced this summer based on the feedback received on this draft. A large number of people from the Wesleyan community have been involved in the self-study and I would like to thank them for all of their work. In particu lar, I would like to thank the steer ing committee (Anna Acerra, Dana Ford, Fred Grissom, Bar bara Perry-Sheldon, Fritz Smith, Bob Trullinger, Rick Watson, and Kathy Winslow). They have put an enormous amount of work into this document. If anything was misrepre sented, it was not intentional. Feedback and/or corrections would be greatly appreciated.
