He will be teaching alongside Ronnie McLamb and together they will be teaching the archaeology, ecol ogy, and petrography of the Ba hamas during a trip to San Salva dor. Dr. Gal! has been interested in this field of study for quite some years. He first started studying the reefs and corals when he was in his masters program studying Carbonate Petrography at East Carolina University. As a student, he had the op- ponunity to do research in the Florida Keys. That trip was the basis for this J-term course. .After speaking with Patricia Smith he realized that no travel courses were bemg offered. He e.xplored the possibility and soon decided that this would he a great topic for a class. Ronnie McLamb. who is a pro fessional .scuba diver, will accom pany him on (he trip.
