FOURTH MONDAY COLLOQUIUM Monday, Feb. 25 Room 210, Gravely Science Presentation by Dr. Dan Gall Assistant Professor of Physical Science ‘‘The Fall of Teotihuacan, Tikal, Mesa Verde, and the United States” What happened at Teotihuacan, Tikal, and Mesa Verde? Can it happen to us? Are there archaeological indicators that an extinct but once-great civilization is in trouble and about to collapse? Do we “look” like a great civilization about to collapse? It has been said that if we don’t learn from history that we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past... are we repeating the mistakes of the past? Dr. Gall’s presentation, “The Fall of Teotihuacan, Tikal, Mesa Verde, and the United States,” is an archaeologist’s “State of the Union Ad dress” Doom-and-gloom or guarded optimism? You be the judge!
