- 12 H. G. BELL HEADS UNITED FUND DRIVE We think the United Fund has made an excellent choice in their Textile Divi sion head - - our own Harry Bell. It cer tainly gives us an added incentive to give the High Point United Fund our full and generous support'. Says Mr. Bell, "Everybody needs to belong, and the United Fund is such a wonderful way to fulfill that desire. The United Fund needs YOU, and that holds true whether you are financially able to give $10 or $1,000." In that same spirit, those who gave last year to join the Citizenship Club will this year give to become ESSENTIAL CITIZENS. As you know from newspaper publicity which has gone before, the United Fund has raised its goal for 1954. If we meet our higher goal this year, it will depend on US -- the industrial work er, the housewife, the average High Point citizen who is ESSENTIAL to the success of the High Point United Fund. We know that asking youto give this year is like asking history to repeat it self -- And history DOES repeat itself 1 Your history of giving has made an en viable record, one of which you may be duly proud. For this reason, I'm sure your pride and mine will lead us again to do our share -- and more -- toward making ours a better city by giving where needed. Everybody seems to be moving to a new home these days. Among those are Ted and Lola Grayson (she works in IBM) who have built on Spruce Street in High Point, and A1 Raulston(also of IBM) and his wife who are now living on S. Park- side Drive. A lot of happy livin' to you all; We're glad to have two #2 loopers back with us after being out sick for a few weeks. A hearty welcome to Doris Kiger and Eva Boozer. from ;==«=^^ I ITheBiMe For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your poets have said. For we are also offspring. — (The Acts 17, 28. ) A deep and abiding consciousness of God should be with and within us each waking moment, and not just reserved for a certain day or a certain period of prayer. If we sought to know and to obey God's will in everything we do, say and think, how joyous and useful our lives could be; 509 Newton St. High Point, N.C.
