S/A WILKERSON
S / A Frances Marie Wilkerson,
daughter of Mrs. Margaret Wilkerson,
plant one looper, celebrated her birth
day with Donna Horton of the IBM De
partment July 27. Donna and Frances
have the same birthday. S/A Wilkerson
entered Naval service May 10 this year
and after boot training at Bainbridge,
Maryland was stationed at the U. S. Naval
.Hospital at Great Lakes, Illinois.
Jimmy F. Patton, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ernest Pattonof 2304 FalaStreet,
High Point, spent a 30-day furlough with
his parents recently and has now return
ed to Long Beach, California where he
serves in the U.S. Navy.
A former employee of Plant #1, he
spent 10 months in Japan. Jimmy's
mother is Effie Patton of Plant #7.
J. D. ELLINGTON RETIRES
Jane Marlette, 1954 graduate of
High Point High School, will enter Wo
mans College of the University of North
Carolina in Greensboro this fall. Jane
is a daughter of Goley Marlette of our
pattern and experimental department.
Mr. J. D. Ellington, sweeper, plant
seven, has retired on the basis of age.
Mr. Ellingtonhadbeen sick since earlier
in the summer and decided to retire in
the interest of his health. He plans to
spend much of his time with his son-in-
law on his farm in Rockingham County.
He and Mrs. Ellington celebrated their
Golden Wedding Anniversary last year.
