MEET OUR CUSTOMER
Mr. Frank S. Marshall, buyer for
the Eagle Chain Stores, was a guest of
our Tryon plant during the Polkorama,
Polk County Centennial.
Mr . Marshall looks over some Dolly
Madison hose with Harry Bell, Adams-
Millis vice-president in charge of man
ufacturing. In the background is our
display at Harmon Field in T ryon during
the Polkorama.
Mr. Marshall is buyer for hosiery
and thousands of other different items
carried in the Eagle Stores. Theirmain
offices are located in Charlotte.
Filling out an application for de
pendents'aid, a colored soldier answer
ed "No" to the question as to whether he
had any dependents.
"You're Married, aren't you?" an of
ficer asked.
"Yessir,"the soldier replied, "but she
ain't dependable."
