Charles is a knitter at Plant #7. Mrs. Tilley, sister of Willie Pope. Willie is a fixer at Plant #6. C. L. Michael, Sr., father of Robert E. Michael. Bob is in charge of quality control in Plants‘#6 and #7. Pictured is Ollie High, looper, Plant #1, pursuing her hobby of china painting. Ollie enrolled in the china painting class of the Arts and Crafts Workshop, sponsored by the City Re creation Department, and has had twenty lessons thus far. She has spent ten to twenty hours on each of her large col lection of plates, as a great deal of painstaking work goes into each one. Some plates have to be fired as many as three times, for four hours each time, at 1500 degrees. Her specialtyis wed ding and birth plates, which she does exceptionally well. Ollie also does oil painting, but pre fers china painting as she finds it more relaxing. She also has plans to study interior decorating as her next course in the Arts and Crafts Workshop. The Workshop offers many courses in arts and crafts, and registration for the next session will be held on Janu ary 5. A registration fee of $2.00 covers an entire course of 8 weeks.
