arsville plant. The couple will make
their home in Oak Ridge.

Employees of Adams-Millis Cor
poration's plants in High Point will be
given free chest X-rays on May 1, 2 and
3 at the English Street plants and May 11
at the Grimes Street plant. Employees
desiring to take advantage of this free
chest X-ray will be given time off for
this purpose. The program is voluntary.
Approximately 5 minutes will be suf
ficient time for you to have the X-ray
made. You will be notified whether your
chest X-ray shows any signs of tubercu
losis, lung tumor or abnormal heart.
No other person will be notified. The
notification will be mailed to you di
rectly from the Health Department.
The chest X-ray is simply a picture
of your chest. You do not have to un
dress for the X-ray and as has been
noted above, you will get a written re
port of the findings free of charge. The
cost of this program is paid by the High
Point Tuberculosis Association with
funds derived from the sale of Christ
mas seals.
Since we do not want anyone to be
away from his job any longer than ne
cessary, it will be necessary for you to
go at the time designated for your de
partment. Your foreman will notify you
when to go to the X-ray unit. Employees
of the second shift may take advantage
of the X-ray before reporting to work.
In the event you are not working, or,
for some other reason cannot have your
X-ray made when your department is
scheduled, you may report to the unit
at another location. A schedule of loca
tions will appear in the local newspaper.
You are urged to invite your relatives,
friends and neighbors to take advantage
of this service here or at another loca
tion.
