- 13 - James Smith family spent their vaca tions in the Smokies and at Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Alex, Lillian and Andy Beatson went to New York City and Old Orchard Beach, Maine, during their vacation, Edgar Davidson made two fishing trips to Lake Hickory and Nantahalla Lake, Unfortunately, he was rained out both times. R. L. Williams vacationed atBryson Lity and Fontana Dam, Myrtle Beach vacationers were Ellen and John Parker, Wilbur Culbreth and family and the Douglas Fishers. Venturing to farther beaches were the Herman Phillips family and the Jim- mie Griffins who went to Panama City, Florida; Yates and Frances Jackson who ''visited Riviera Beach, Florida; Evelyn ^nd Bud Ramsey and son who made a trip to Key West, Florida; Jessie and Eb Bishop who went to Jacksonville, Florida; Carroll Robbins and family who '''ent to Daytona Beach, Florida; and Mr. and Mrs. James McIntyre who went to ^iami Beach and sto'pped at theKenil- '^orth Hotel. Ruth Kuykendall and Mary Black well went to Carolina Beach, N. C,, tor their vacation. James and Hazel Henderson took a two thousand mile trip for their vaca tion. They visited in Rochester, Ni- agara Falls and Canada. James is an ^nnployee of the Knitting Department and azel is a seamer. Congratulations and best wishes to JoAnn Capps and Roy Morgan who were married on June 29. Roy is a knitter at Plant #8. We wish for Grady Johnson a speedy recovery. Grady, a knitter at Plant #8, suffered a heart attack some time ago. He is greatly missed and we hope he will soon be back to work. Jean Westbrookhas joined her hus band at Saulte St. Marie, Michigan, where he is stationed with the Air Force. Jean was an inspector. Wedding bells rang for Ronald Ross and Edith Hill on May 26. Ronald is a fixer at Plant #8. Adams-Millis' baseball team at Tryon, with a record of 1 1 wins and 3 losses, is now in second place in the Twilight League. On August 5, they will play a benefit game for Julian Capps who played with their team last year. Julian was in an automobile accident in 1955 and has been in a coma since then. The game will be played with Landrum, S. C. PLANT NO. 9 Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tucker on the birth of a daugh ter, Sandra Faye, born on June 26. Robert is a duplexer at Plant #9. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tucker are the parents of a daughter, Carolyn Sue, born on June 25. Frances is a coner at Plant #9. Employees of Plant #9 who spent their vacations at Myrtle Beach were Bessie Whitesides, Carrie Gosnell and son Jimmy, Katherineand James New- some and daughter Kay, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Durham, and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Hancock and son Andy. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Poteat vaca tioned with friends in Walterboro and Edisto Beach, S. C, a{c 9S ^ ^ ^ No formal dinner is complete with out nuts. Always invite a few.
