It is our own willfulness, selfishness, weakness, that keep us from most enjoyable living and being fully in God’s love, His perfect good—and yet, His mercy forgives and* accepts the truly repentant heart. Your Profit Sharing Plan The blue pass books for the Profit Sharing Plan are being posted, showing the entries for the year 1955, and will soon be returned to the participants in the Plan. The low profits made by the company last year will be reflected in the com pany's contribution to your Profit Shar ing Plan. The amount your company deposits to the Profit Sharing Plan each year depends on the profit your company makes. The total amount deposited is then allocated to each eligible employee on the basis of the individual's earnings and length of service. By working to gether, by producing quality work, and by making deliveries on time, all of us can help put our company in a more competitive and profitable position. As we succeed in accomplishing these goals, we not only help build larger de posits for our Profit Sharing Plan, but we also help assure ourselves of more regular work. Each of us can contribute to our successful operations through improved quality of work and by helping to keep down waste of materials, time and sup plies. As was the case in 1947 and 1951, your pass books will show in red the earnings for the year 1955. This is due to a mark-down in market value of some government bonds held by the trustee of the Plan. By holding these bonds until maturity, we are assured they will in crease in value and our earnings should show an increase in future years. ****** Lowell Cruthis, Shipping Depart ment of Plant #1, is the proud father of a daughter, Karen Lynn, born July 29. ****** When you talk, you only say some thing you know; when you listen, you learn what someone else knows.
