the boarders, there were quite a few miles covered. Those visiting rela tives and far away places were: Lib and Bill Sink who went to Boston; Dot Halker who was in St. Louis; Cather ine Cookston who visited Alabama; Betty Eldreth who spent some time in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland; Mary McMahan who vacationed in Bryson City; Mary Stafford who went to Fayetteville; Zeb Rush who visited in Raleigh; Bill Brown who was in South Carolina; and Billie Dunbar who went to Gastonia and Kings Mountain. . . .Various beaches were well repre sented by Phyllis Jones, Lucille Beck, Bill Jolly, June Hayes, Dot Canoy, Nell Chapman and Dot Bottoms. . . The Smokies welcomed Ina Blackwell. There she spent some time at Ghost Town. Dot Maynard was there also and saw "some big black bears. ". . . Those just staying at home getting caught up on their painting, house cleaning and enjoying not having to get up early were Elease Jolly, Pauline Braswell, Lillian Lynch, Barbara Sechrist, Georgia Hunt, Helen Carter, Harold Kinsey and Gladys Bowman. . .Attending the horse show were Willie Young and Will Everhart. . Then, of course, John Parker "just played golf". . .We think that perhaps the Fountain of Youth must have been visited by Ruth Thomas. Incidentally, did you see her doing the twist for Zeb Rush?. . .Elaine Smith spent her time moving into her lovely new home.which has a huge basement big enough for a real party. When, Elaine ?. . . Happy Birthdays are in order for Cloyd Cof fey and Elaine Smith. Wonder if any one knows why Cloyd was late to work one morning recently. . .It's good to have Faye Smith and Shirley Evans back from the hospital. . .Best wishes for much happiness to Barbara Kendall who recently changed her last name to Tucker! 4 The mental cases most difficult to cure are persons who are crazy about themselves. - 17 - Miss Shelby Phillips was united in marriage with Leonard Dunlap, Jr. on June 29. The ceremony was perform ed at Highland Baptist Church in High Point. Shelby is a pairer at Plant #7. Viola Jones, Jackie Carlton, Sal- lie Hennis and Bessie Young have re turned to work after being out on sick leave. It's good to have them back in the Greige Goods Department. We hope Audrey Lilly, of the Fin ishing Department, who was in an auto mobile accident during vacation week , will soon be back to work. We're happy to report that Annie Phillips, who has been out on leave, has returned to work. Southern Die Casting Our best wishes go with Joyce and Wayne Wagner who will soon be mak ing their home in Cheyene, Wyoming, where Wayne is stationed with the Air Force. Joyce was employed in the Production Control Department of Sou thern Die Casting. Their going-away gift was a lovely lamp. Congratulations to the Jim Woollen family who just recently moved into
