Twenty-eight employees of Adams-
Millis Corporation--several ofwhom
may help to make medical history--
volunteered to give blood at the June
visit of the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
As for making medical history, 259
of the 510 pints collected were air
freighted to American National Red
Cross Research Center in Washington,
D. C. . The blood flown to Washington
was received from people who had had
a series of three tetanus shots. Plasma
from this blood will be used to process
a new tetanus anti-toxin and there was
"much excitement and pleasure" among
laboratory personnel who will be work
ing with this first tetanus booster blood
available in quantity.
