QUALITY CONTROL COMMITTEE REPORTS Ktformmm Members of the Quality Control Committee of Plant #1 for November are, left to right: Dorothy Harvey, Seaming Department; Hedy Maness, Transferring Department; Juanita Gingrich, Knitting Department; Dorothy Pardue, Clipping Department; Evelyn Marsh, Finishing Department; Ray Lee, Seaming Department supervisor and committee chairman; Louise Ander son, Folding Department, Marilyn Ben nett, Seaming Department; and Gladys Loflin, Boarding Department. Louise Saunders, of the Knitting Department, was not present when the picture was made. The Quality Control Committee, under the supervision of Ray Lee, in spects the work in progress in each department and reports to its chair man the findings of the committee. These reports are given to the super visors of the departments for their corrective measures. Ollie Clark, shipping supervisor, Plant #4, was credited with rescuing a resident of Kernersville from a burning residence. According to a press release by the KERNERSVILLE NEWS, Clark, who is fire chief of the Kernersville Fire Department, donned a gas mask and went into the room where Mr. R. C. Caudill was trapped and Clark brought Mr. Caudill from the flaming room. The house was completely destroyed by the fire. - 7 Adams-Millis Corporation is the largest property tax payer in the City of High Point. Taxes levied against the company last year led all other property holders. The levy was $95,518.09, which is about one per cent of property within the old city limit. In Kernersville, Adams-Millis Corporation is the second largest tax payer with property tax bill of $10, 933.38. The Adams-Millis tax bill represents eight per cent of taxes levied in Kernersville.
