Plant #7: Nina Fields, Quality Control De partment, has returned to work after a visit with her sister in Florida. We understand that Frankie Martin is getting ready to move into her new home in Kernersville. Lucky girl! Ask Manzeline Smith, seamer of Plant #7, about the big fish she caught on the coast last weekend. We heard she didn't even fish--just slept all the time, Louise Cookston, of the Knitting Department, visited her folks in Ala bama recently, Ada Ruth, of the Seaming De partment, is recuperating at home from injuries sustained in an auto mobile accident which resulted in her being hospitalized recently. We wish a speedy recovery for her and hope she can soon return to work. Welcome back to Curtis Church who has returned to work after being out for some time with a back injury. Don Spell, of the Knitting De partment, is still furiously making plans to get married this month. . . just can't talk him out of it. Nancy Coggins and Frankie Bulla are getting in some quick week end beach vacations while they still have Saturdays off. Dot Jarrett (of the stockroom) enjoyed a recent visit to Washington, D. C. On June 10, Charlie Tuttle, supervisor of the Finishing Depart ment of Plant #7 completed his 27th year of service with Adams-Millis Corporation. In honor of the occasion, the girls in the office served him with cake and coffee, which he downed with gusto and the remark that he's now one foot taller and one hundred pounds heavier than when he came to work twenty-seven years ago. He says he's not overweight. . .he's just five inches too short. Welcome back to Ronnie Robbins who has returned to the Order Depart ment to work during the summer, Ronnie will be a junior at Western Carolina next fall. The Order Department also wel comes Larry Hill, head order clerk, who was transferred from the Folding Department, Order Clerk Pat Lance, who left around the middle of May, is greatly missed. Of course, our very best wishes went with her, BOARDING ROOM VIEWS, . . To the parents of our graduates, we say, "Congratulations!". . .and for the graduates themselves, we wish the fulfillment of their grandest dreams. Incidentally, we older grads can tell you only that it is not done by dreaming, but by doing. . . so the best of luck to all of you. Wonder if you heard. . .about Bill Brown's incident with the pigeons in the boarding room. . . that Nannie Smith says it's wonderful being able to see again now that she's wearing glasses, , , that Barbara Sechrist is looking forward to her leave of absence to await a new heir, . , that Ruth Thomas had to have her toe nail re moved. , . that Lib and Bill Sink's "Daisy" has a new calf. . . that Irene Harrison was glad to get back to work after being hospitalized. , .that Ina Blackwell says you can't get around those "getting older" aches and pains (how true!). . .that Bill Jolly gets his deep tan by fishing and John Parker his on the greens. . .that which we all dreaded to hear again, "We're working Saturday, girls". . . that our Peggy has a secret. Because of the loss of someone dear to them, our deepest sympathy goes to Ruth Thomas, Lib Sink and Stella How.
