Emma and Howard Voncannonhave returned from a plane trip to the World's Fair, after which they visited their son, Bobby, in Wilmington, N. C. Emma is a seamer at Plant #7 where Howard was formerly a supervisor. Donald Spell, fixer of Plant #7, and Susan Welborn were united in marriage on July 2, 1965. They spent their honeymoon sight-seeing in Florida. Our congratulations and best wishes to them. Martha Morris and William South ern were married on June 18, 1965. Martha is a seamer. Our best wishes to these newlyweds, also. Welcome back to Gladys Bowman, Mary McLaurin, Clara Frazier and Glenda Kennedy, all of whom have been out because of illness. And, we're happy to report that Ella Perry will soon be able to return to work, also. Boarding Room Views Webster's dictionary tells us that a vacation is a period of absence from work, for recreation. Most in the boarding department this year just had a period of absence for more work. Visitors to other states were: Stella How (Tennessee), Catherine Cookston and Lib Sink (Alabama), Steve Rollins and Jennie Ricks (New York), Ina Blackwell and Dot Halker (Florida), Linda Parks (Virginia) and Patricia Beavers (West Virginia). Seeing other parts of their home state were: Betty Jean Ledbetter (Mt. Gilead), Dot Maynard (Winston- Salem) and Sue Roberts (Hot Springs); while visitors to the mountains were Ruth Thomas, Amanda Bradford, Carolyn Hinson and Alice Wilhoit. Taking in the beaches with no reports of sunburn were: Phyllis Jones, Lucille Beck, Brenda Causey, Leona Knight, Tobey Fouty, Dorcas Thomas, Nell Chapman, Willie Young, Shirley Myers, Jack Kinsey, Carrie Smith, Shirley Evans, Faye Smith, Dot Bottoms and Elaine Smith. Still standing by their favorite pastime of fishing and golfing were Bill Jolly and John Parker. Seems that everyone enjoyed their vacations, whatever they were, except all too often was heard, "It just didn't last long enough. " Let's see now, how long is it until Christmas ? We're glad to have Mary Hender son back at her machine and are still wishing Lucy Tickle and Esther Smith speedy recoveries. Seen at Carolina Beach were Carol Cates and Gertrude Newman. Maxine Todd vacationed at Ocean Drive Beach, while Eva Jones was at nearby Cherry Grove Beach. Jackie Hedgecock enjoyed Cres cent Beach.
