I. .J INDUSTRIAL OLYMPICS TO BE HELD SEPT. 2 Adams-Millis Corporation, winner of second place in the first Industrial Olympics, has entered the second Olympics to be held at the High Point Y.M.C.A. on September 2. The first Industrial Olympics was considered to be highly successful and it was decided to hold them twice each year. Thirteen events are to be run off in the September meet. They are, first session: Volleyball, paddle racket, checkers, riflery, gin rummy, ping pong and putting; second session: Basketball throw, darts, football throw, handball, shuffle board and underwater bingo. As in the past, the meet will be held in two sessions. A person may enter an event in each of the sessions. Due to conflicts, participants are not to enter more than one event in each session. Employees interested in par ticipating are to notify their foremen of the events in which they desire to participate. A schedule will be posted in the departments of each High Point plant. Entries in riflery should arrange to shoot 15 rounds and submit their scores in order to determine the best marksmen. Preliminary qualification trials will be arranged in those events in which we have more entries than will be allowed for the various events. Entry blanks will be in the hands of the foremen not later than August 18. They are to be returned to the foremen after each person has indicated his choices of events. All blanks must be in the personnel department not later than Friday, August 20. Twenty plants participated in the first Industrial Olympics and the Y.M.C.A. is expecting a larger num ber of teams for the fall event.
