Many people have found them to be excellent containers for. various things. The American Red Cross European Area has distributed thousands of copies of a popular illus trated bulletin showing how a family first aid kit can be packed in an empty coffee can. The kit suggested by the Red Cross can be kept in the house, the car, or elsewhere. Contents in clude such easily purchased items as safety pins, small scissors, anti septic, toothpick swabs, band aids, triangular bandages, sterile gauze pads, adhesive tape, burn ointment and various sizes of roller bandages. Once packed, the coffee can first aid kit can be sealed with tape to keep out dust and moisture. Submitted by Charlotte Collins Seamer, Plant #2 - 5 -
