PETERKIN AND EDWARDS EARN PROMOTIONS Lander Peterkin a.s sumed duties as third- shift assistant supervi sor on December 3, 1973. He has worked for Tex- Elastic in Raeford since Septembers, 1972, first as an OMM fixer before assuming the position of assistant supervisor. Lander and his wife, Mary, who is an Arnold Operator at TexElastic, live in Raeford with their children, Linda Gail, Beverly Ann and Lander, Jr. Lander is an ac tive member of South Freedom Masonic Lodge #158 and a member of the Hollingsworth Barber Shop Bowling Team of the Raeford Bowling League. He is an asset to both his community and his company. Larry Edwards has recently been promoted to the position of divi sional quality control manager of TexElastic Corporation. He started with the company in a supervisory capacity in March of 1972. He had spent some fourteen years in rubber-covered and textured yarn opera tions and several years in hosiery production prior to coming with Tex Elastic. Larry's responsibilities will include the coordination of all quality control at the Archdale and Raeford elastic yarn plants. He, his wife Carol, and four children pres ently reside on Stoneybrook Drive in High Point. When he finds time, Larry enjoys golf ing and camping. Wishing to make Tex Elastic a safer place to work as well as wishing to comply with the regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, TexElastic's Phil Styron puts the finishing touches on a second exit that has been added to the basement shop area at the Archdale plant. Maintenance personnel at TexElastic's Raeford plant have been busy completing the installation of anew guard they designed for the Suma covering machines which have been re cently put into operation. This guard will eliminate the possi bility of employees coming in contact with dangerous gears and high speed belts. LET THE SUNSHINE IN *^Pen draperies in the daytime to let in the heat the sun.
