TexElastic--Archdale Larry Edward's daughter, Denise, recently spent two weeks at the Acupuncture Center in Washington, D. C, She had treatment for nerve deafness. The treatments helped her to the point that she can now hear sounds and noises. Larry and his wife are looking forward to her next treatment this summer with the hope that she will then be able to hear more clearly. Bill Millis and his wife spent Saturday, April 19, moving into their new home on Forest Hill Drive in High Point. Hope they can get settled quickly and start enjoying their new home. Jo Farlow attended the golden wedding anni versary of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lewis, in April, Both Mr. and Mrs. Lewis are retired employees of Adams- Millis. Easter seems to be a busy time for most of us; those who had guests were: Mildred Todd whose brother and mother came to visit; Irene Parris who had visitors from Maryland; and Stella Shackleford whose daughter and her fam ily came from South Carolina. Those who didn't receive guests in their own homes traveled during their Easter holi days. Among them were; Martha Hatfield who went to Pikesville, Kentucky to visit her daugh ter and her mother-in-law; Mary Frady went back to her home-town, Gastonia; Judy Cox and Elise Rhew went to Carowinds; Larry Edwards took his family camping at Pirate Land; Bill Rook and his wife camped at Apache Camp grounds; Tom Wells spent the week-end at Myrtle Beach; Ray Clayton and his wife visited Natural Bridge; Velma Hall and her family vis ited relatives in Virginia as did Joyce Kirby and her family; Bill Younan went to Charleston, S, C. to visit friends; Harold Smith, Roger In man, Tony D*Amico, and Brenda Byrd all spent their holidays fishing, and now that they're back they're spending their time telling fish stories. David Campbell, members of the High Point High School Student-Work Training Pro gram, "Happy Birthday" goes out to Roger Inman, Frances Conner, Margaret Turner, and Sarah Beck. TexElastic - -Raeford Does working at TexElastic lead to romance ? Ask Peggy Lupo and Thurman Martin who re cently announced their engagement--to each other, naturally. Thelma William's daughter, Debra, is also planning to tie the knot; the wedding is planned for the first of June. Glad to see Sarah Jane Saunders and Sylvia Williams back at work after returning from their long leaves; both were out due to illness. Lee Ester Tillman and Cynthia Murchison are also back from long leaves but these leaves were credited to a visit from the stork. Grace Galloway and Gladys West are both out due to illness; hope they make a speedy re covery. The ladies from TexElastic have their own softball team, so wish them luck. Several TexElastic employees have relatives who are in the military and are stationed away from home. They have good reason to be excited when their servicemen can come home on leave. Among these are Susie Burk whose son is home from Georgia, Annie R. Collins whose husband is coming home real soon, and Solomon Swain whose son is home from Virginia. ^sggyLupo recently took a two-week trip to the mountains to visit her parents. Linda Chavis recently enjoyed a visit from her mother. "Happy Birthday" goes out to Shirley Hayes, Mary McLean, Annie McGeachy, Dorothy Monroe, Patricia Ray, Talmadge Roger s and Sarah Saund ers. the univ n c library CHAPEL HILL N C 27514 ATT WILLIAM S POWELL BULK RATE U.
