TEXELASTIC APPOINTMENTS

Booth - - Production Control
William L. Booth has been promoted to the
position of production control supervisor at Tex-
Elastic's Raeford plant. Bill succeeds Mike
Ballard who was recently promoted to the tech
nical/sales staff at the Archdale plant.
After graduating from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bill was associated
with public education as a teacher. He came
with TexElastic as a supervisory trainee in
June of 1973 and was soon promoted to the posi
tion of third-shift foreman which he held until his
most recent promotion.
Bill, his wife Faye, and son William, age 3,
reside in Parkton, N. C., which is only a few
miles from the Raeford plant. When they can
find time. Bill and his family enjoy camping.
Jarrett - - Time Study/Cost
Harold Smith, industrial engineer for Tex
Elastic, announced the appointment of Nelson
Jarrett to the newly created position of time
study/cost engineer. In this position, one of
Nelson's primary functions will be to assist the
industrial engineer in maintaining a system of
accumulation of time study data for all operations.
Nelson comes to TexElastic from Spray
Eotton Mills inEden where he had been employed
for five years, most recently as standards engi
neer.
Residing at Woodlake Mobile Home park in
Greensboro, Nelson and his wife Sandra, have a
daughter, JoAnne, and a son, Jason. They
attend Fir St Church of Christ in High Point. For
i^ocreation. Nelson enjoys stock car races and
'''‘^ater sports.
^^gram - - Covering Supervisor
TexElastic's newest supervisor is Kenneth
Ingram. Ken will succeed Tony D'Amico as
first-shift covering supervisor.
Ken started with TexElastic in January of
1974 in the maintenance department, coming
from Heberlein Texturing where he had been a
mechanic for a year and a half and a foreman in
file false twisting department for a year. With
fiiis supervisory experience, Ken should prove
fo be a real asset to TexElastic.
Ken and his wife, Teresa, live on Route 3,
Thomasville with their daughter. Shannon Rae.
Nen enjoys spending his vacations and holidays at
file coast fishing and boating.
MARY KENNEDY IS
NEW FREQUENCY CHECKER
Mary Kennedy is shown here with Wilford
Venable, second-shift covering supervisor, in
her new position as frequency checker for Tex
Elastic's Archdale covering plant.
Mary will be responsible for checking the
different jobs in each department to evaluate the
number of breaks per pound or breaks per thou
sand spindles. Indoingthis, she will obtain facts
used in making analyses of raw materials as well
as gathering information used to calculate costs.
The creation of this position should prove quite
beneficial to TexElastic.
Mary succeeds Betty Stogner who had held
this position at TexElastic's Raeford plant since
1970.
The chains of habit are usually too weak to
be felt until too strong to be broken.
