PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFER ANNOUNCED
JOE SKEEN
Effective December
1, 1974, Joe Skeen, man
ager of the scheduling
and distribution depart
ment at Adams-Millis
Texturing and Dyeing,
was promoted within the
Macfield Texturing or
ganization, In his new
capacity with Macfield,
Joe will be working in
the planning department
and will be responsible
for the coordination of Northern sales for dyed
yarn.
Joe has been with Adams-Millis Texturing
and Dyeing since October 1, 1971. He and his
family will be moving to the Madison, N. C. area.
RICHARD SPARKS
Richard Sparks has
replaced Joe Skeen as
Adams-Millis Texturing
and Dyeing' s manager of
scheduling and distribu
tion. As such, he will be
responsible for planning
and scheduling natural
and dyed yarns through
the texturing and dyeing
plants and the shipment
of these yarns to the di
vision's customers.
Prior to December 1, 1974, Richard serv
ed in the capacity of assistant manager of dyed
yarn scheduling. He has been with the company
since October 9, 1972.
DENVA HALL
Denva Hall has been
promoted to the position
of training manager for
Adams-Millis Texturing
and Dyeing; he is replac
ing Ralph Parker. Denva
has been with Adams-
Millis since October 1,
1971 as the overseer of
second shift.
He brings to his new
job not only a thorough
background in manufac-
turing, but also considerable training experience
gained while employed with Burlington Industries.
He and his family live in Danbury, N. C.
LILLIAN HIGGINS
Lillian Higgins has
been promoted to the
position of overseer on
second shift, replacing
Denva Hall. Prior to
this assignment, Lillian
had been the supervisor
for the coning depart
ment on second shift.
She came to Adams-
Millis Texturing and Dye-
ing on October 13, 1969
and had gained experi
ence as a machine operator and instructor before
moving into supervision. She and her family
reside in Lexington, N, C.
RAY THOMPSON
Ray Thompson is
welcomed into the
Adams-Millis Texturing
and Dyeing organization
as a second-shift super
visor. Ray transferred
from the Fabrics Divi
sion to the Texturing
and Dyeing Division on
October 14, 1974. He
had been employed in
fabrics since August 4,
1971.
Before assuming his responsibilities, Ray
will go through extensive training on the first
shift, thereby gaining experience in the manu
facturing and administrative areas of the divi
sion.
He resides with his family in Winston-
Salem, N. C.
