I Continued From Page ll Ryan who carried it on to Elm Street in front of Adams-Millis Headquarters to the applause of Adams- Millis employees and others gathered along the torch route. Ryan was followed closely by several Adams-Millis em ployees who carried a ban ner which read “Adams-Millis Salutes The Olympic Festival.” At the end of the block, Ryan passed the torch to a young woman in a wheel chair to continue on its jour ney to the Festival’s.opening ceremonies a few days later in Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh. During its trek through North Carolina, which began in Wilmington, the torch was carried by thousands of run ners. “It was a pleasure for Adams-Millis to be associ ated with such a tine event as a bronze sponsor, " Alillis said.
