The Money Lab, aimed at teaching people how to manage their money and how to get the most from their paychecks, is open each Tuesday and Thursday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m. It is free. Doris Lindsay from the agency office is in charge of the sessions. Materials such as slides and tapes are available as “help yourself” guides. During August the consimier lab will be located in the Turnkey III center, 505 Habersham Road. Those who attend these sessions may come as often or as seldom as they choose. They get along so well, and seem to enjoy being with one another so much.” Before opening up her home as a day care center, Mrs. Spencer was an employe of Slane’s Hosiery Mill for 20 years. An accident on the job last June kept her out of work a year. The at-home job was an answer to many problems. “I really do enjoy this,” she said with a smile. “This is the best job I ever had. I always did enjoy older people, so this was just right dovra my line.” No special equipment is necessary for Mrs. Spencer’s home. There were no special requirements in order that she be licensed, and she needed no particular training. More homes such as Mrs. Spencer’s are badly needed, especially in the Model Neighborhood, according to \ Concentrated Social Services.
