Her husband is home from overseas. Mr. Coffee says there is a cer tain woman in this department that has quite a large family, and he doesn’t know her age, but he does know she has never used any make up or shined her shoes. We are glad to have Margaret Frv with us on day-time now. We had a number of servicemen visitors during the past month and they all seem to enjoy the visit. We hope they did. Mrs. Lawson is visiting her sis ter in Mebane. Hope she has a nice time. We wish to welcome to our de- pptment Nina Saunders and Eu nice Smith. Hattie sure does like this new 2600 style work. She says it goes on the looper by itself. We wonder what’s wrong with Hilda. She can’t ever get to work any more. Ollie Armentrout is so excited she can’t work. Her husband is on his way home. —• — FINISHING ROOM No. 1 Jeannette says she sure is glad that Gertrude and Lucy got some male so they can smile instead of frowning. If you really want to see some snazzy hair do’s, just come thru Finishing Room No. 1. We are all wonderin" what hap pened to Mr. H.’s foot? We understand that all the fin ishing room is getting off a week for the 4th. But there’s 3 certain girls already been off two weeks, planning on going to the beach. Virginia Dennis is a good dem onstrator. eh, Pete ? Joyce Leonard says she wishes they would put arms on the stools. ■F^'she couid stay in-them these hot days. We were all thrilled to see Moody erreet her son, Willard, from Eng land. ^ We are glad to have Mary Hill back after a 10-day furlough with her husband. Katherine M. says she thinks she needs her lunch more so than the roach. We are glad to have Mrs. Young ®nd Ward back with us. We enjoyed having Polly Wright m to see us whib home on a fur lough. Anyone having boils, see Mr. Saunders. He has a sure cure. Mrs. Hoke is really thrilled to have her son-in-law home from Bermuda for a 17-day furlough. We know a certain pairer who is really dressing up her home for a soldier husband who is coming on home soon. We regret to hear of thi death of Riley McDowell’s father. Every time we look for' Claude he IS either going up on the ele vator or coming down. Wonder what he’s found upstairs ? T Q- When is an elevator like a Jap Navy? A. When it is going down. —• — KNITTING ROOM No. 2 First Shift Roy Yarborough has started a dairy. He has goats galore! He drinks a gallon of milk a day. Some one told him it would improve his looks. We have two fixers that are seldom here on Monday. They were both here on a Monday, now they are both looking forward to the 4th—they need a rest! . Dan Joyner injured his arm and IS going to the hospital every day or two, taking treatments. Says he doesn’t mind as long as he has the cute little nurse to treat him DYE HOUSE We were sorry not. to be in last month’s Melrose-Glen, as many of our readers expected to read about us.
