''TH3 Campus Echo" SOCrSTY N3WS L3 C3RCL3 FRANCAIS Le Cercle Francais met Jan. 24 and had one of its most inter esting and inspiring programs which was rendered by the members of the Freshman class stu.dents who are either students of French 101 or 103. This varied program included several piano and vocal selec tions and readiiigs froni the follov;ing sub,1ects; "French Morality," "The Study of French," "Social Types," ''Introduction to Poetry," "Morals, Religi-.i and FJucation,’’ "One I.ficon on Football." And unusual treat v/as given those present when Mile. Helen Baker, our own Sor.g-'ov'.’dj r.an^j the Rosary in French, and as her encore rendered the sa\T:e song in English, The Freshmen ar.e to be corgratulated for their successful program, and we hopt; they will give us another soon. THE commercial club The Commercial Club mot VJodnesday Feb. 1, 1928 in the Avery Audilitorium. The rrcsiiont i'Trc Ellis presided. Important Business was discussed and prises awarded to members of the Freshman class for composing two vornes to be added to the Commercial School's Song, which v/as str. rted by Miss E, Sanders. The two members wore Mr, Moses Taylor and Miss Rotherleo Suggs, The club is planning to stage a play in the near future. Miss Katie Husband a member of the Freshman Class is ill. Miss Sedalia Punnoll was callcd home for a few days, Vi?e are v/aiting foriher to return and continue her work. 7
