What People Are Saying From a Virginia patient. I want to thank yoii for your kindness and consideration to me while I was a patient at your hospital. You have a wonderful hospital; the doctors, nurses, technicians, and all v^ere most efficient and helpful. I feel that I received a great deal of help from my stay there. Thank you again for your help. From a North Carolina patient. True to be sure, we have had many hospital problems in the past year or so. We have been coming to Duke for 19 years. Within the past year it has been more noticeable how things have changed over these years. The service (nursing), commiuiications, diets, medications, necessary doctor attention from interns, impertinence from interns and colored nurses, colored help and secretaries has de graded Duke Hospital tremendously, and at the same time costing more for less and poor services. It is with deep concern that I write this letter in hopes that some steps will be taken to improve the hospital care and regain its lost prestige. From a North Carolina patient. I am at home but am taking this first opportunity to thank all of you folks Dr. Howell to Head Pediatrics at Woman’s Medical College ^ Dr., Doris Ahlee Howell has been named professor and chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsyl vania in Philadelphia, effective July 3.
