Future nurses begin studies at Duke (Continued from page 1) Another first-year nursing student, Nancy Pivirotto, admits that having a sister here in nursing school made the decision to come to Duke a little harder. "I had to think really hard about Duke because Susan (her older sister) was here," Pivirotto said. "I was-worried about staying an individual." The Pivirottos are from Greenwich, Conn. "Our older brother and sister attended Princeton together," Susan Pivirotto said. "We have a very close family. Nancy and I shared a room while we were growing up." Still get together Although Nancy and Susan Pivirotto no longer share a room, they still manage to see each other frequently, Susan lives off campus and Nancy hves in Hanes. "We get together to play field hockey," the senior nursing student said. "We see each other very often." Nancy Pivirotto said her older sister really didn't strongly influence her decision to come to Duke. “I came down to visit her and 1 really liked it," the first-year student said. "She answered my questions about the program here and I liked what Duke had to offer." Nancy Pivirotto said one of the main reasons she chose nursing was because of the variety.
