Students Will Register March 7
For Spring Quarter Classes
Registration for all students,
other than those who have been
authorized to complete early reg
istration, will be on Tuesday,
March 7, 1967. The registration
will be held In the college gym
nasium from9:00-12:00 and 1:00-
4:00, Evening registration will
be from 7:15-8:45.
The procedure for registration
for students who register at this
time will be to pick up their
course authorization card from
their adviser and then report to
the gymnasium where they will
be processed for registration In
the usual procedure—completing
class cards, curriculum data
card and payment of fees.
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED
TO BRING THEIR WINTER
QUARTER GRADES WITH THEM
FOR DISCUSSION WHEN THEY
MEET WITH THEIR ADVISER.
Early registration will be

New Instructor
Arrives At SCC
Southeastern's newly appoint
ed girls’ physical education In
structor Is Mrs, Saundra Nobles,
a former resident of Chadbourn.
Mrs. Nobles attended Greens
boro College at Greensboro for
two years and then transferred to
the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill where she obtained
her A.B. and M.E.D. degrees. She
began her teaching career In
Burlington and later taught In
Fayetteville.
Mrs. Nobles Is the wife of Bill
Nobles, also a former resident
of Chadbourn. They are the
parents of two boys, one aged 2
months and Uie otter 4 years.
"The remainder of the school
term will be focused upon In
dividual sports for the girls'
physical education class. These
sports will Include archery, ten
nis, badminton, and ping-pong,"
said Mrs. Nobles.
“I hope the girls will like the
program and find It not only help
ful but also enjoyable, I am
open to suggestions toward Im
prove ment, I hope to have a well-
rounded Intramural athletic pro
gram for next year,” she added.

All-Girl Chorus To Sing Varied Concert
Salem College Chorus To Present
Concert In Whiteville February 24

The Salem College Choral Ensemble
The Salem College Choral En
semble of Winston Salem will
present a concert at the White
ville High School Auditorium Fri
day, February 24, at 8 p.m.
The all-girl chorus of forty-
six voices under the direction of
Paul Peterson will feature a
group of sacred songs of various
periods and styles, German songs
by Schubert and Brahms, and a
group of modern songs by Ameri
can composers. Also to be per
formed is a Bach toccato sung
traditionally by the Chorus.
Miss Harriet Haywood, form
er accompanist for the Choral
Ensemble and now a teacher at
Whiteville Hl^ School, will be
guest accompanist for the
toccato.
ARCHWAYS WILL SING
The Archways, composed of
seven of the Ensemble members,
will present several popular
numbers. The group has been fea
tured throughout the Winston Sa
lem area and has sung for various
clubs and conventions. Also in
the area of popular music will
be Misses Deedre Garrltz and Su
san Gray Fowler performing a
folk medley using Spanish, Eng
lish, and American folk tunes.
Miss Fowler, a sophomore at
Salem and a native of whiteville,
will also perform Schumann’s
Papillons Opus 2 on the piano.
CHORUS TRAVELS WIDELY
The Choral Ensemble has made
two concert tours to Europe, has
appeared on CBS television,
several NBC radio programs, and
has made tours of several areas
in the Eastern half of the United
States. The Chorus Is scheduled
to appear with the Winston Salem
Symphony on March 14.
